Van Data
Born in a family of three (two girls and one boy)grew up in Kampala and Mbarara where mother worked as a nurse. Took nickname "Van Data" from a longtime friend Meddie a video editor/producer and close friend who believed that he had an idea on almost everything in all aspects of life from their several conversations and had a lot of data to back his assertions. “Van” means “of” or “from” in Dutch, so in a unique way he was nicknamed Van Data meaning “man of Data”.
Started music career at the age of nine years in a children’s band called TP & ME . learnt to play several music instruments including piano keyboard, guitar, jazz drums to mention. Later joined Ma’Africa Band then Rays Band as a main keyboardist.started singing with a friend as a due Dash and Data and later went solo in 2011.
