Halisi Nation
HALISI is a swahili word which translates to real, authentic, or original in English.
We are a gentleman trio based in Nairobi, writing and performing Afro-pop music. As the title might suggest, Halisi Nation is therefore an embodiment of Kenyan music authenticity. Elly Sings (King of Runs), Galvin Leting (The Caretaker) and Luckey Meysoi (Sir Luchie) are seasoned songwriters who first met in July 2014, while pursuing related science courses at the University. Born and raised in the Western, Rift Valley and Central Regions of Kenya, the team has had strong connections with their roots which combines perfectly with poetry and humor in their delivery. This mixture is carefully marinated into their music which creates a mind-blowing experience every time you click PLAY on Halisi Nation Music
