Papa Lando & KiswaNgala Band
I go by the name of Papa Lando, musician, performer and instrumentalist from Nairobi Kenya.
I am making a comeback after 10 years of silence with a different style - urban rhumba, language fusing Kiswahili and Lingala. I perform with my band (KiswaNgala Band) in private gigs.
I grew up listening to Rhumba music thanks to my Father who had LP collections of the likes of Franco, Tabuley, Madilu, Mbilia, Les Wanyika etc. Currently my music is influenced by urban Congolese rhumba by Koffi Olomide, Ferre Gola and Lokua Kanza and locally by Eric Wanaina, Sauti Sol and Ellani.
Poso Bolingo album has the following songs; Poso Bolingo, Wachana Nao, Mama, Mungu Baba, Lelo Makambo & Siamini.
