Dj Faya
Fayaz Abdul Hamide, 27, better known as Dj Faya, is the most "proven" disc jockey in the country. A music lover since childhood, Faya enjoys working with almost all kinds of rhythms, from tropical, kizomba, samba, ragga, funk, r & b, hip-hop and Afro-house.
By chance or luck, the father of Dj Faya was owner of a discotheque, the New Khanimabo. At a time of crisis the establishment ceased to have dj's and Faya had to secure the bar and this was how he started gaining experience in the area. "Since I was little I admired other dj's, when I went to parties, I loved to make sounds with the base of the chair or table. Being dj was always my dream," Faya explained.
