Wendy Kay
Popularly known as Wendy Kay, is an Afro-Urban driven recording and performing artist from Nairobi, Kenya. She rose to acclaim through a stripped-down music cover version of Yemi Alade’s ‘’Africa’’ which immediately went viral. She has been featured on two seasons of Coke Studio Africa as a background singer and was then later given a spotlight and made her debut performance as an artist. Her music was featured on a budding film titled ‘’You Again’’ starring famous renowned actor, Nick Mutuma.
Wendy Kay is inspired by a myriad of artists from Yemi Alade, Shekinah, Tiwa Savage, Sanaipei Tande among other influences. Kay’s vocal skills, writing prowess and electric performances are sure to put a dent in the Kenyan Music scene
